Santa Clara County Real Estate in 2020

Pandemic, shelter in place, mass unemployment, terrible financial hardships for many households and small businesses, new ways of working, office buildings empty, people relocating, dreadful fires, interest rates to historic lows, stock markets to new highs, and then vaccines began to arrive. Thanks to everyone, including emergency personnel and healthcare workers, who worked so hard in 2020 to keep us going through such a difficult time.
Regarding the local home market, the year started with solid demand and rising prices, then stalled with shelter in place and then resumed its uptrend with single family home prices in many areas returning to their 2018 highs, with entry-level and super-high-end particularly strong.

The following information is just the top-of-the-waves -- please let me know if you have any questions or would like customized neighborhood data and insights.
Thanks and wishing everyone some good news in 2021.

-Ray
