Welcome to Palo Alto
Located 35 miles south of San Francisco and 14 miles north of San Jose, Palo Alto is a college town that bloomed into the birthplace of Silicon Valley. Today Palo Alto is an urban/suburban technology hub that provides an outstanding quality of life. Two wonderful downtowns, a world-renowned university, leafy boulevards, an incredible collection of parks and open space reserves, and a Mediterranean climate that allows outdoor recreation year-round make Palo Alto a fantastic place to work, study, play and raise a family. With boundaries extending from the shores of the San Francisco Bay to the Skyline Ridge of the coastal mountains, and various architectural and historic districts, Palo Alto offers an incredible range of options for anyone looking to make it home. Add to all that world-class schools, including my alma mater Palo Alto High School, and it’s no wonder that Palo Alto is known around the world.
