Welcome to Los Altos Hills
Located south of Palo Alto and southwest of Los Altos, Los Altos Hills is a bucolic aggregation of one-acre and larger lots in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountain range. With rolling, tree-dotted hills and the absence of commercial or industrial zones, Los Altos Hills offers beauty, solitude and sweeping views of Silicon Valley, while still being convenient to the various tech centers. This combination of beauty, consistency, convenience and large lots makes Los Altos Hills a highly-desirable area for those looking to purchase or develop grand estates or simply retreat into nature and privacy. The architecture in Los Altos Hills is as varied as the views, ranging from ranch-style homes to Mediterranean Villas to ultra-modern compounds. The only stores in town are a bookstore on the campus of Foothill College and a gift shop on the grounds of the Immaculate Heart Monastery, so dining and shopping are most readily accessed in Los Altos, Palo Alto and Mountain View. There are approximately 80 miles of trails that run throughout the town, providing a wonderful way to experience the natural beauty of the town, whether by walking, running, biking, or even on horseback. The northern part of Los Altos Hills is served by the Palo Alto Unified School district and southern part is served by the Los Altos School district.
